The Community

I am excited to have an EP coming out in the very near future entitled “2th point 0″. As part of the development for this EP, local film maker and director Bobby Ruckus and I have co-written a music video clip that we will be filming on May 12th and 13th. The video clip has an information technology theme (I like computers) and will be shot in an office space. This is where you can possibly help me.

Bobby and I are currently scouting for a cubicle-based office space which looks boxy with partitions and so on. It would need to be available on May 12th and 13th.

In a way, the topic for this blog is something that spans the entire time period covered in the last two blogs but time is relative, so it’s all good.

In 2003, I became involved with a few other eager music makers and we formed a group called The Anonymous.  The group consisted of DJ A.pt, Anti-matter, Gribbz and myself.  We had a lot of fun doing shows all over Australia before dropping our first (and only) album, entitled Alpha Team, in 2009/2010.

To promote the album we enlisted the services of local film maker and director Stefan Androv Radanovich of SAR Films.  Stefan filmed and put together a great clip for our song “Check 1, 2″.  You can check out the video below:

Unfortunately, the album was never officially released and the group slowly drifted apart to pursue their individual goals and dreams.  That’s life, though, right?

That, sadly, brings me to the end of the great blogging trilogy that is History According to Wisdom2th.  I hope it was everything that I dreamed that you would dream it would be…. or something like that.  For now, remember… ~freeze frame… cue theme song from The Greatest American Hero~

Yes, I’m back and this time it’s serious.

After my first release in 2007, I got involved with AwesomeArts on a project that they were developing.  I worked with Mat de Koenig as an engineer and producer for a young band from Punmu in remote Western Australia.  The band was called Punmu Lakeside Band and I was flown out to the middle of the state to work with them over a 2 week period and create what ended up being a 10 track LP.

Making music in this remote community was an engaging and eye-opening experience which I thoroughly enjoyed.  For a glimpse of what we were working on, check out the video below.

I’m the first to admit that I haven’t really been working as hard as I could to keep the blogs rolling in on this page.  In fact, I’ve been somewhat lazy and side-tracked when it comes to informing my fellow Community lovers about what has been going on in my world.  So, I’ve decided to bring you all up to speed with a few posts that I will call “History According to Wisdom2th”.

To begin, I will take you back to the deep dark days of 2007, when I issued my first official release through Green and Gold Records.  This was a simple four track 12″ (yes… vinyl) entitled “Words of Wisdom”.  The whole process of writing, producing, preparing for master and then promoting that LP was a great learning experience for me.  If you want to get your hands on a copy you can grab it at http://greenandgoldrecords.com/shop.html or you can e-mail me at wis2th@hotmail.com.
