The Community

It’s been ageeeessss since I last said anything on this glorious site.  My mother always said “Shut up! Don’t talk so much!” so, recently, I’ve taken that ‘advice’ on board*.  However, now I have something to actually say.

I received three nominations in the Urban/Hip Hop category for the WAM Song of the Year competition.  Personally, I have no idea what happens or how they decide the winner – but I’m not too fussed because (cliche warning) it’s an honour just to be nominated.  Fellow Community cat, YLEM, also received two nominations.  Go Community!

Aside from the fact that, because WAM posted these tracks online, the “promotional strategy” (as if I had one) for my album has been completely decimated – I’m mad stoked.

I’ve also been putting in a lot of fun (the word ‘work’ doesn’t really fit) for a new project I’m working on with Crixus.  Crixus and I go wayyyy back.  He currently resides in Tasmania but we decided to resurrect our old duo called The Monitor Men.  So we’ve been shooting tracks and verses and concepts back and forth over the interwebz and it’s sounding dope so far!  Expect a lot of discussion about coffee, giant rubber turtles and monkeys named Warren that have contracted Herpes B (no jokes).

Oh, and just so the title of this page makes sense.  Here’s a picture of a lamb.
