Monitor These Beats

Posted by FG on Saturday, September 22nd, 2012

So, it’s a Saturday night and I’m sitting at home.  As usual.  Anyway, I thought I’d take the opportunity to keep you abreast (heh heh) of my current musical goings-on.

I am patiently awaiting the award thingo majigo for my WAM Song of the Year nominations, but in the meantime I’m working on a couple of projects.  First and foremost, I’m putting the final touches on the verses that I dropped for folks that are submitting tunes to the Community Words compilation.  With a bit of luck they’ll get through.  If not, I’m sure you’ll hear the tracks on your friendly neighbourhood Soundcloud. I’m also deeply into the formation of the project I’m working on with Crixus as The Monitor Men.  The Monitor Men were concieved nearly 12 years ago, but this will be our first release.  Fully online, a little odd and frequently concerning itself with monkeys and coffee – so it should be dope.  Aside from those two things, I’m also putting together a little free beat tape with Ap.t.

Ap.t dropped a dope little conceptual EP a few years back.  It still gets regular play from me.  You should check it out, too.  In fact, I’ll even give you the link.
