On Saturday September the 29th, Uncomfortable Beats launches its latest installment of fine tunes at Melbourne’s well-loved Horse Bazaar.

Know to always bring the goods, they will be showcasing an star line-up of some serious DJ’s and Producers such as Rachel Haircut, Able8, Taay Ninh (Electric Wire Hustle, NZ) and Hypercolour. 

Expect to hear a diverse selection of music ranging from Soul Hip-Hop to Garage to Juke and everything in between. 

So come down and freshen your ears with some new music. Entry is free and music goes from 9PM till 1AM.

Hey again,

Just thought I’d drop with some new updates…

Recently I launched an Australian beats compilation album on Uncomfortable Beats, and ran a killer launch party for it with my two trusty side-kicks Rob Healey (Ghostsoul) and Pauly Fawcett (ShiKung) – Photos Below. You can hear or purchase the album through Bandcamp, or stream it on the Soundcloud. The plan is to push more compilation releases through and eventually use the platform to release our own inpidual albums (and other artists as we see fit)

Anyway the launch was a very successful and fun night! Just a few more nights later we also ran the regular Bar Open residency which also proved to be a good night of tunes, including artists such as YesNoMaybe, Remi, Ruffles, Ghostsoul, ShiKung and DJ Sizzle.

As far as my own music I’ve been working mostly with UK rappers Benny Diction, and Beit Nun recently, and MC Points (When he rarely gets back to me.) I have some great gigs coming up next week including supporting Ras G, Araab Musik and heaps of others…Supporting Ras G and Dizz1, and performing at Utopia Festival. Going to be such a good week, looking forward to it.

Anyhow, for those interested, I’ve created a Tumblr page, where I post up photos and video I take in Melbourne or whilst travelling, who knows I might even update it regularly…We’ll see.

2011 was a great year and I’m looking forward to what this year entails…

Some highlights for me this year were..

Travelling/Hanging out and Touring Europe/KL

Supporting DJ Krush to a packed crowd, plus a bunch of other great gigs

Revamping my live set, and finally converting to the Macbook world

Changed my name for most projects to Able8

Writing new tunes with overseas artists like Black Cracker, Benny Diction, Beit Nun and MC Points

Expanding Uncomfortable Beats from a one-man operation, into a small team of awesome people

I also managed to finish a remix for Wermonster (Berlin) by Christmas and that should be released soon, and a track I did with Black Cracker (NYC) is hopefully being released for free with VICE Magazine (US) as an exlusive.. So I’m fairly excited for that!
